Describe Me

Saithe have silvery-green scales and an almost completely straight line running along the side of their bodies. Saithe are usually around 100 cm long.

Fish Food

Saithe eat krill and small fish like herring and young cod.

Find Me

Saithe live in big groups at depths above 200m. MSC certified sustainable Saithe are fished from the North Sea and Finland.

Dinner Time

Saithe is a great alternative to cod, and is often used in fish cakes or fish pies.

Fishy Fact!

Before tinned cat food was created, flaked chunks of Saithe were one of the top choices for a feline fish dinner!
Saithe is known in some countries by its other name, Coley.
